  1. All-New Wolverine was so good! So much fun! I’ve been wanting this team-up since issue #3, and it was everything I could have hoped for and SO MUCH MORE. Squirrelverine are the Best Team-Up! I could not stop grinning. From the time Squirrel Girl shows up, holding a wolverine, shouting “Wolverine!” this was perfect. And can we get a series about Jonathan the wolverine wearing fine suits and tearing through cardboard cities? (Best part of your panels of the week: Jonathan’s tongue in the first panel.)

Old Man Logan was good. It’s some great stuff. I like Lemire’s use of the parallel-timelines, similar to his Hawkeye run. It works really well here. And yeah, Sorrentino and Maiolo are amazing.

But! I have two complaints! First, “Northwest TerritorIES,” not “Northwest TerritorY.” That could be written off as a typo, it’s a small thing. But then it says it shares a border with Alaska. It does not. The Yukon Territory shares a border with Alaska. The Northwest Territories does not. Come on, Jeff, you’re Canadian! You should know this! (I do have to wonder just how many tweets he’s gotten pointing that out. Mistakes happen, though.)

And yes, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is amazing. Ms. Marvel is my favourite Marvel comic, but USG’s up there. This week was a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure issue! And it was great! I also love how the series is educational.

  2. I don’t normally buy Wolverine; to be honest I have trouble accepting the new version. It doesn’t offend me or anything, and I don’t mind that it’s being done, it just doesn’t sit right in my brain. But I love Squirrel Girl so I read this. It is indeed good. I’d buy a book about Squirrel Girl and the clone sisters.

Does anyone else find it strange that Squirrel Girl has a different hairstyle and costume in her own book than in her appearances everywhere else?

    1. And there is of course a third popular teen girl superhero Avenger: Ms Marvel. You could get a miniseries easily.

  3. THE WOLVERINE SQUIRREL GIRL TEAMUP IS THE BEST TEAMUP EVER!

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way…

What I find interesting about Old Man Logan is that they say that Maureen has a hurt that goes way back, so it seems to me that what Logan is doing, creepy though aspects of this are – as you point out, he’s there to make sure that whatever happened to *his* Maureen doesn’t happen to 616.1’s Maureen. And I like that they’re doing that, because it seems to me it ties in with the first arc – in the sense that, now that he’s been given a second chance, as it were, he’s going to make sure the future he comes from doesn’t happen. Now that he’s found out that the general future isn’t going to occur as he knows it because it’s a different world where things happened differently, he’s looking for something he *can* fix. Which strikes me as a very Logan thing to do. I’ll certainly be interested to see if things happen as he’s expecting or if this is a different world in this way as well.

Finally, thank you, Miles, for showing me I’m not alone in loving USG. 🙂

    1. Great point. I get where Jay is coming from in finding it creepy, but the fact that he’s hanging out specifically to prevent a future tragedy that he knows Maureen will experience makes it less so for me.

  4. I love you guys…but the Squirrel Girl Wolverine Team-up song has been stuck in my head for two days. I was randomly singing it at work yesterday.

You have ruined my life! At least until I listen to the Hamilton or Waitress soundtracks and something else gets stuck there.
