  1. Couple quick questions for you guys:

    1) Were those Captain Marvel sunglasses, or was I just imagining the color scheme?

    2) Hasn’t Laura beaten the trigger scent a couple times now? Admittedly this time they dumped a whole ton of the stuff so maybe the volume of the scent overcame her control, but I feel like several story arcs in the old X-23 series were about her being able to take control when exposed to the scent. Just feels like a well they keep going back to for her, despite “resolving” it each time.

  2. Old Man Logan was a pretty good end to the arc. Lots of gorgeous art, as always. I liked the kid going Akira. I definitely agree that the arc was dragged out too long.

Wolverine felt like a step down from the previous issue. Too much of SHIELD in the first half, I think. It’s stuff that was necessary, but not still distracted too much from Laura. Still, it’s a great issue, and this arc is looking great.

UXM Annual was good. I like Elixir being alive again. I like Monet starting to get jaded about Magneto’s tendency to see people as tools. I loved the Domino story, though. That was a lot of fun. The climax, with the bullet falling into her gun, was one of the stupidest, most ridiculous things ever, it pushes her luck powers beyond the most extreme degree of plausibility. And it’s AWESOME. I loved it. It is too ridiculousness NOT to love. I want Anthony Piper to do a Domino series.

I agree that Surge needs to be brought back.

    1. Saw this response and literally went “Wait, she wasn’t in any of the X-books this week right?” Started getting worried I’d missed one. 😀

  3. Tangentially, the talk of Maddy got me thinking: anyone else concerned that, after the great tease at the end of Apocalypse, they’re going to use Essex as a big bad in Logan? Seems flawed to have not ONE Summers share the screen with him. Thoughts…?
