Re: the Logan listener question, an idea occurred to me as I was thinking about differences between timelines with an old Logan (like Old Man Logan) and without (like Powers of X). It might be explicable as part of how his healing factor heals him to his self image – timelines where Wolverine feels old (or feels like he “should” be, to some extent) will see him being old, because his self image is consistent with that, and that creates a feedback loop that means he will eventually die of old age.
This would also explain how he became an old man in a couple decades in Old Man Logan, but his main timeline version looked the same back in WW2 – his constant memory wipes kept him from ever having a long uninterrupted period to remind him that he “should” be aging.
We can assume that the healing factor in PoX isn’t a function of his captors extending his lifespan, because he was using it and blood transfusions to extend Moira’s life, and presumably if his captors were extending their lives on purpose that wouldn’t be necessary. That said, in a thousand years there are plenty of opportunities for Comics Things to happen and change how his healing factor works, so it’s pretty easy to no prize away that timeline if you want to.
