  1. I really liked Adam Pollina’s art during this period. It looked a little like a mix of Joe Madureira and Michael Turner, both for good and ill. But it was also distinctive enough that I always knew it was him at a glance. It’s always his Boom Boom I picture whenever she comes up.

I honestly had no idea that Chris Bradley showed up again after his first appearance. Largely because I had never read Maverick or X-Men Unlimited #15. It also explains why I had no idea who the character was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

This is probably my favorite era of X-Force after post-Liefeld Fabian Niceieza and I wish it had gone on longer. While it’s a little while away I was never a big fan of the Counter X era.

  2. There’s something rather amusing about X-Force, the defintive “Hardcore, 90’s, take no prisoners, we’re SOOOOO badass we’re like GI Joe with superpowers” mutant team now being described as “The rowdiest”, which I appreciate is a nod to the Disney style of the setting, but even so… 🙂

Yeah, the Friends of Humanity should not look like open-mike night for the Reavers.

Have Risque and Blink ever met, because I think they’d enjoy some serious club nights.

I’m not sure whether to be appalled, or surprised, that the SeX-Men web has two entries under the “is bonded to” category (Appalled that it needs be there at all, and yet surprised that’s only twice after that many years of Claremont). Also, if Cypher and Wolfsbane are STILL dating that concerning, since it would be nerophilia, and since Wolfsbane is one of the “is bonded to” cases, she has enough problems already.

That is some SERIOUSLY fugly art on Chris in the Maverick story. It’s like someone trying to pencil in Craig Rousseau’s sort-of-anime style with an inker who actively dislikes them.

I can’t remember Dani being an agent of the SHIELD is something which is explained properly, but they’ll need to do one heck of a job to make it convincing, as I really can’t see Dani being happy in that situation. We shall see!
