NEXT WEEK: The Fall of the Mutants concludes with X-Factor!
I admit I was dreading this episode. Not because Cypher dies – I don’t honestly like the character – but because I’ve been reading along with the show and … I hate this book right now. This new creative team is so off-putting. The art is just so inappropriate for the story and I feel like I don’t know the characters anymore at all. I appreciate you guys addressing that in the episode, however.
As always, I love the show. I just don’t love New Mutants like you two seem to.
Wow, I had always heard about Cypher’s death being a turning point in New Mutants history, but I always imagined it would be bigger and flashy. Like jumping on a rocket to keep it from exploding. This is much sadder and yet so much more satisfying.
