Guy’s you disappoint me a little. Neal is second in line to a tea company fortune, and his Dad is a cop, so you assume his father is involved with both? I’m going out on a limb here I know, but maybe Neal also had a mother, who he might be inheriting the money from instead, no?
Hitting on Jean should have ended with
Jean: “Not bad, I’ll give that six and a half Warren’s out of ten for the effort.”
Neal: “Warrens?”
Jean: “It’s how we measure male flirting on the X-Men… Ten Roberto’s to a Warren, ten Warren’s to a Remy, ten Remy’s to a Kurt”
Actually, having written that: person of colour, fabulously wealthy family, aspiring playboy, powers related to plasma energy… Did Claremont want to use Sunspot and someone said no, so he filed off his own serial numbers and just… Ta-da! Thunderbird III?
Given the UK population’s largest non-white ethnic group is South Asian, Scotland might not be the worst place to attempt to hide.
Ah yes, Omega Sentinel, who somehow STILL managed to get a Marvel Legends figure before certain classic New Mutants! Bitter? Me? Perish the thought!
Hindi folklore doesn’t have a Thunderbird but Garuda, the King of Birds, might have been viable with thunder/lightning powers… I mean, Mahou Sentai Magiranger (Power Rangers: Mystic Force) managed it.
I like the recycled names idea for trademark purposes.
Xavoer – “Congratulations, Phillipe, I’m happy to say that, given your powers, the most obvious codename for you on the X-Men is.. Cypher”
Phillipe – “Cypher? But I’m an electrokinetic” I throw thunderbolts… you did just seem me shoot literal lightning from my figures, right?”
Xavier (muttering) – “Where were YOU when I had to reassign Thunderbird?”
I sort of lost track, was the use of the telekinetic katana set before or after the power swap because if before, then that makes no sense since Psylocke wasn’t telekinetic before the power swap?
And yes, if she’s using telekinesis I don’t think the blade should be messing up nervous systems the way her psychic knife did, because that was focussed telepathy.
Darkstar is basically a Green Lantern but the energy involved is black rather than Green. (I’d say Black Lantern, but that’s a whole different thing in the DCU)
Lol, the flirting scale!
I believe the change from psychic knife to psychic Katana coincided with the swap.
Could Neal’s dad have a tea company fortune and also be a cop because he feels like working?
I think that’s how we got “Burkes Law”… AND, more or less, Batman
Do you think Spiral runs the Body Shop in support of Mojo or as a side gig?
I think it’s her hobby, like a body horror Etsy store.
You two ever seen this yet?

Real!
First instance of this.
Wait you aren’t covering Dream’s End in 2 weeks are you? Because that’s skipping over multiple issues of Uncanny/Adjectiveless (I think 4 of each).
Nope, that’s not for a while! Got our Next Times crossed a bit.
