Yay! Thanks!
I think maybe today’s episode hasn’t uploaded properly as I can’t see it here or on my Apple. May just be my phone playing up. Honestly, if it’s anything like my brain, it’s done for the year 🙂
Fixed – thank you for letting us know!
This is a milestone episode for me, marking the point in my X-Men history where I finally started having access to buy new comics, instead of having to reread my brother’s hand-me-downs. I’m a little giddy 😁
The episode could’ve also been titled “Dirge of the Toddler” (I say with 0% shade to the toddler, who enhances every episode they guest on).
Yeah, the non-crediting always struck me as odd…and I think was an early question I sent in. Maybe. Or I thought of doing it.
And agreed I think it’s a really fitting send off for the post Giant Size and/or 90s era. I really love the Christmas issue in particular.
As for the question:
1. YES MARY WORTH! Though I’d love to see if her self-assured judgmental meddling could best the likes of Boom Boom and Quentin Quire.
2. Put Alex Summers in a PhD Comics crossover.
I use Firefox as my browser and DuckDuckGo as my search engine. Both have AI features that can be turned off. While it’s not perfect, it’s better than nothing.
Even by SHIELD’s famously variable ethical standards what they did to Marrow is supremely messed-up, and aoo to pull a Blade Runner scenario on their own errors in churning out LMD’s like they Happy Meals.
It’s appropriate that the Legacy Virus ended as it began and continued, making absolutely no goddam sense.
I’m pleased to learn that Chuck did indeed take a copy of Moira’s research thoughts whilst they were having their final astral-plane sexy-times, so I humbly retract my earlier criticisms.
One person taking the cure will cure EVERYONE on the planet? Instantly? Regardless of where they are? That’s…. convenient, in a “Russell T Davies season finale of Doctor Who” sort of way.
Still, as this podcast has noted many times, the Legacy Virus vector was dramatic necessity, so…
Still, one has to wonder if there might have been a less dramatic, but more resonant way way of spreading it. Finding an elderly mutant who was near death and asking them if they’d like to save a lot of fellow mutants, so life comes from their passing. Would it work on someone already infected, which would seem a much more reasonable way for a cure to work, so again, someone who was close to death.
Did the editorial team just want to get rid of Colossus? I’m curious as to what their driving impulse was and I don’t think it’s something I’ve seen talked about. And suicide is clearly a very divisive method of doing so.
