Jay & Miles X-Plain the X-Men

448 – Skamageddon

Feral’s back – just in time to wreck Jay’s voice again! (And Siryn’s, but we’ll get to that later.) (X-Force #88)

In which timeline math is almost never worth it; Tarot comes back from the dead (kind of) (maybe); Magma makes a heel turn; “King Bedlam” would be a great name for a ska band; not every nude man can turn into a bear; and you don’t have to talk to your supervillain relatives.

  1. Re: the Cold Open–the Triune Understanding has something to do with an upcoming in the timeline X-MEN plot, but you’d have to ask Kurt Busiek exactly how. By the time it all gets wrapped up in AVENGERS, it was kind of impenetrable continuity for me.

Also–what is it with people who call themselves Bedlam coming up with crazy villain groups. First the Derangers, now this.

  2. 1984-1999 is 15 real world time, which, according to 1:3 ratio to comic book time established in the scott/jean marriage issue (xmen #1 sept 1963-March 1994 = 10 years), would indeed be 5 years in marvel time! 😳

    1. You’re totally right – I’d forgotten about that! (Probably because I read Legion of X before I read this arc of X-Force.)
