Louise Simonson!Congrats! This will be just so… so, so, so awesome!
Kobayashi Maru! When I started reading as a kid, my primary reading material was my dad’s Star Trek collection. This was in the very early 90s, so I could watch TNG when it was on but TOS reruns weren’t really much of a thing yet so those books were my connection to the original series. Kobayashi Maru was definitely my favorite – especially Scotty’s story!
I legitimately never expected to hear that book referenced anywhere so I’m super happy right now.
I unreasonably hate almost all pictures of Angel pinned to a wall by Harpoon, because the actual muscle and bone of his wings would be maybe a handspan at most along the top of the wings. The harpoons are always depicted as poking harmlessly through nothing but feathers. Not only would this not hurt him much, but it would never hold him up on the wall like that.
I mean maybe they only look like bird wings on the surface and are actually enormous slabs of meat right through, but that just makes things worse.
I’m so glad to know that someone else worries about this.
